I don’t know about you - but the idea that September is close makes me so excited for all things warm drinks, pumpkin patches, cute clothes, cooler weather and the gorgeous colors coming to our mountains here shortly!
It also means there will be a slew of seasonal fun opportunities waiting for us!
Whether you are new to Northern Colorado or you’ve been settled here for awhile, there always seems to be something new popping up around us. And we wanted to provide you with an easy resource that you can use to plan out all the fun you’ll be having this fall!

Oktoberfest
When: September 17 - 18
Where: Loveland, CO (Loveland Fairgrounds)
Details: Enjoy German culture through music, dance, German craft beer and food at the Loveland Fairgrounds!

OktoBREWfest
When: September 24-25
Where: Greeley, CO (Lincoln Park)
Details: Enjoy over a dozen locally brewed beers, food vendors and entertainment! Bring the kids too! They have inflatable fun, bubbles, pumpkin decorating, face painting, and more for the kids to enjoy!
Autumn Gold
When: September 25-26
Where: Estes Park, Colorado (170 MacGregor Ave)
Details: A festival of beer, brats and bands! Listen to musicians, browse vendor booths, enjoy some corn on the cob, funnel cake or roasted nuts! Bring the kids! They offer free face painting, corn bag toss, bounce house and a class car show!
Poudre Pour
When: September 25
Where: Windsor, Colorado (Boardwalk Park)
Details: A fun educational event that combines craft beer, appetizers, and kinds events combined with learning more about local water issues and celebrating the Cache la Poudre River.
Berthoud Oktoberfest
When: October 2
Where: Berthoud, Colorado (Fickel Park)
Details: Enjoy a fun day with German entertainment, food drinks and vendor booths. Family friendly and free entrance!

The Fortitude 10k
When: September 6
Where: Fort Collins, Colorado (CSU)F
Details: From those that manage the BolderBoulder, we now have the Fortitude 10K! All levels welcome from walkers to seasoned runners! Enjoy the scenery of Downtown Fort Collins and when you finish, there will be a festival-style finish with food trucks, drinks and live music.
Superhero Run
When: September 11
Where: Greeley, CO
Details: Choose your distance! 1 mile, 5k, 10k and even a kid’s run! Proceeds from this run go to Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy, working to prevent child abuse and give a voice to those who have experienced it.
Fall Equinox 1/2 Marathon & 5 Mile
When: September 19
Where: Fort Collins, Colorado (Poudre Canyon)
Details: You have your choice of running a 5-mile, 1/2 marathon or Full marathon down the gorgeous Poudre Canyon, ending within 0.5 miles from Ted’s Place! Enjoy post-race food, beverages and the stunning scenery around you!
Rut Run 5K
When: October 3
Where: Estes Park, Colorado
Details: All ages and abilities welcome! Experience the beautiful fall colors on your walk/run - and when you are done with the race, go downtown to enjoy Elk Fest where there will be delicious food, beer and vendors to visit! All of-age run participants get 1-free beer token for the Elk Fest.
Harvest Night 2m Family Fun Run
When: October 23
Where: Loveland
Details: This fun run is for the whole family and benefits the Loveland Parks & Rec Foundation. The course runs through North Lake Park and end with entertainment, vendors and food truck! Come dressed for the costume contest too!
Good Guys 23rd Colorado Nationals Car Show
When: September 10 - 12
Where: Loveland (The Ranch)
Details: This is one of the best car shows in Northern Colorado with auto racing, thunderfests, burnout competitions, fireworks, live music and cold delicious beverages. Head down to the Ranch Event Center and check out the stunning cars filling the lot there!
Be Ready Family Fun Fair
When: September 24
Where: Fort Collins
Details: A free community event where the whole family can learn and play! This event is great for families with kids ages 0-8 where they can explore the various community emergency vehicles, learn more about local preschools and explore all the different ways to stay safe.
Elk Fest
When: October 2-3
Where: Estes Park
Details: Elk Fest is a family-friendly festival where you can enjoy live music & performances, vendors, food and bugling contests.
Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo
When: October 29
Where: Fort Collins
Details: If you have any Dino-loving kiddos, this is a must see! You’ll have the opportunity to observe and interact with life-like dinosaurs as well watch them in a theatrical performance that is sure to entertain everyone!
Anderson Farms Fall Fest
When: September 21 - October 31
Where: Erie
Details: There is something for everyone! From the Fall Festival and Private Campfires to Terror in the Corn and Zombie Paintball Hunt, every age can enjoy this pumpkin patch!
Jack Lantern’s Northern Colorado Corn Maze
When: September 21 - October 31
Where: Fort Collins
Details: Even with the nighttime activities being closed this year, the pumpkin patch and daytime activities are still worth making the trip here! They offer a 40-acre corn maze, large pumpkin patch and even a scavenger hunt you can take part in!
Miller Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
When: Labor Day - Mid November
Where: Platteville
Details: Let your kids experience what it looks like to be on a real working farm! Explore the farm, harvest your own vegetables, and enjoy the fun and educational experience of digging into the earth’s dirt! They also have a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin picking, kids play area, antique tractors, peddle tractors, farm animals and more!
Osbourne Farms Pumpkin Patch & Farm

Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival

Fortoberfest
