Merry Christmas from the Salls!

You may not officially know me, so let me introduce myself... I am affectionately called Big Green, the beautiful, deep forest green two-story home in Loveland, Colorado that houses The Happy People, also known as the Salls!

Brett and Brittany were searching high and low for someone to write their Christmas letter this year and I jumped at the chance! We all know how the expression goes, “If these walls could talk...” and with this letter, they will! I may only be three years old in “house” years but with all that has happened this year, I feel more like thirty! I’ll give you my “siding” of the story (house humor there) of 2019!

Easily the most awesome thing to happen to Brett and Brittany this year (really, ever!) was the birth of their adorable baby girl, Phoebe Christine. I had a front row seat to all the action as they were blessed to be able to have a home birth. Let me just say, women are superheroes and Brett and Brittany had the best support team surrounding them during the labor and birth. God worked quite a miracle during Phoebe’s birth, it’s a great story and Brett and Brittany love to share it! So ask them about it over a cup of coffee! And yes, they are still obsessed with coffee! It is really hard to hold a cup of coffee with my 2’ by 6’ hands but I get my caffeine fix just breathing in the smell of freshly brewed coffee through my HVAC system.

Brittany was waddling around my hardwood floors the first few months of the year and their little sweetheart was born on April Fool’s, April 1st, 2019 at sunrise at 6:46am, weighing 7 lbs 2 oz. I don’t know where the time has gone but she is already 7.5 months old and she is the happiest baby! She is crawling, pulling herself up and baby talking all the time. She was named after the Early Church leader Phoebe in the Book of Romans and her name means “Bright, Shining and Radiant” and she exudes every bit of that! Phoebe gives the best gummy smiles and brings about giggles and sunshine wherever she goes.

When Brett and Brittany built me, they had hopes and dreams that my four walls would someday be filled with the sounds of their children! After six years of waiting for their miracle baby, the joy and gratitude for this precious girl is through my roof (get it! ;) )! They soak in every moment and are so grateful for the life that Phoebe brings into this home and their hearts!

Speaking of homes, Brett and Brittany are still slinging’ houses! They are “The Sall Team” at C3 Real Estate Solutions and they enjoyed another great year of helping wonderful clients achieve their real estate goals. Brett was even honored to win Rookie of the Year for our local Realtor Association! As an expert in the field myself, I must say, Brett and Brittany know their stuff! Between the two of them, they have a decade of real estate knowledge and experience and work tirelessly to help their clients sell for top dollar or find their dream home! The “foundation” of their success in this competitive industry is the word of mouth referrals from family, friends and past clients. To that, we all say, THANK YOU! Quite literally, the roof over their head and mine is dependent on the success of their business! If you, your family or friends ever need real estate help in Colorado - please give Brett and Brittany a ring or you can ring my doorbell too!

Brett and Brittany love to spend time in the mountains and are thrilled to be able to share that joy with Phoebe! Uncle Gary, their beloved beagle, is still cute and hairy and sheds all over me. He is adjusting fairly well to not being an only child! Lol! Brett continues to coach at Crossfit Loveland and they both find an immense sense of community with the great people at the gym and Foundations Church. Parenthood is amazing, challenging and fulfilling and they are so blessed to have Brittany’s family close and Brett’s family visiting often to love, nurture and help them with this most awesome responsibility. Grandma Shirley, Brittany’s beloved Grandma and Phoebe’s Great Grandma, went to be with Jesus this year in May. She was a spunky, loving, and incredible woman who is missed dearly by all in the family. Grandma Shirley loved butterflies and with this first summer without her, the many butterflies making a home in my backyard was a beautiful reminder of Grandma and her life well lived!

As I write this letter, even a house is aware enough to know that not every family or friend receiving this will have had such a joy-filled year. This life is full of hills and valleys and even though this year was one for the record books for the Sall’s, they have experienced many seasons in the valley. The only sustaining hope we have in this life is in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Having a baby has brought about a new depth of love that Brett and Brittany didn’t know was possible and has increased their faith exponentially. We pray that these words leave you encouraged and that 2020 is a year of increased blessing, favor and faith. If there is ever a prayer need that Brett and Brittany can specifically be praying over you and your family, please let them know.

Alas, it seems as I am as long-winded as my owners. Thanks for taking the time to peer into the “window” of this home’s happenings in 2019!

From this home to yours, may it be filled with warmth and joy this Christmas season and coming year!
