Coronavirus Impact on Northern Colorado Real Estate

What a wild week it’s been! We hope you all are happy, healthy and well supplied with T.P! πŸ˜‚

With the swirling emotions surrounding the news, stock market, school closures and gathering size restrictions, we want to share some updates of what we are seeing in the real estate market.

We are working with clients from every price point from first time home buyers to the luxury market so we are fortunate to have a good window into this landscape.

There are some changes... Hand sanitizer is becoming the new staging item at almost every listing and handshakes have turned into fist bumps or even waving from across the room at open houses.

From a market standpoint, this Spring season is HOT! Our open houses this weekend were well trafficked, as were many in our company. Great listings in hot price points are receiving multiple offers. Interest rates are at near record lows, driving many people to purchase or refinance their homes.

The uncertainty of the next few weeks has caused one of our buyers to put their house search on hold, but by and large, these strange times have had little negative effect on the Northern Colorado real estate market.

We anticipate that as this situation de-escalates, the coming months will be an incredible time in our market to buy, sell or invest.

Spending more time at home has brought about such deep feelings of gratitude. We feel such a sense of peace and joy in our home and we desire all of our clients and friends to be blessed with that same sentiment.

It’s been an encouraging reminder that in a world full of roller coaster stock prices, empty shelves and travel restrictions - a person ALWAYS needs a place to lay their head or in this instance, be quarantined for a couple weeks. Why not have a space that you love? Investing in real estate by buying a personal home or an investment property is a solid investment with returns far beyond just financial gain.

We have seen our communities in Northern Colorado rise to this occasion, from churches helping those in need, to neighbors running errands for each other, to restaurants offering free lunches to kids who rely on the school lunch program, we are blessed to live in an area and country that is deeply generous.

We pray that this season is a blessed one for you! If you or someone you love is in need of help, from T.P. (toilet paper) to a CMA (comparative market analysis) - please don’t hesitate to reach out! :)
